Preparing to Restart Our Trade Fairs

Partnership beyond business

#WeCare #PartnershipBeyondBusiness

The coronavirus pandemic has meant social and economic challenges for all of us. Our events have been affected too. A number of trade fairs and conferences have had to be postponed or cancelled.

But you can be sure we at NürnbergMesse have been keeping our ears open for you, and for your concerns about appearing at a trade fair. What was true before is even truer in this crisis: we want to keep up our dialogue and our partnership with you! In spite of all the other challenges that dominate your daily operations these days, we’ll still be available to you, and will keep you posted as reliably and regularly as current circumstances permit.

Restart of trade fairs in Bavaria

NürnbergMesse warmly welcomes the Bavarian State Government’s decision to allow trade fairs to be held again in Bavaria starting 1 September 2020 . These fairs are expressly exempted from the ban on large events. We thus have a sound foundation for restarting our programme of trade fairs this coming fall. You can find out more at: Bavarian State Government’s press release (German version), AUMA press release

At the same time, for our trade fairs’ benefit we are keeping a close eye on the situation in markets around the world, and especially in Europe, and are seeking a close dialogue with the industries concerned. Our aim: to ensure that you can make plans reliably – and to provide a platform for dialogue that suits the current situation in the best possible way.

Trade fairs are more than platforms that offer market opportunities for our businesses. Especially since the crisis, people long for dialogue, networking, and the opportunity to share knowledge directly and develop new ideas together – whether in analogue, hybrid or digital form.

Hygiene concept

That is why we have set a top priority on ensuring that our exhibitors, guest organisers, partners and visitors have a trade fair experience that is both highly professional and safe. On 23 July of this year, the Bavarian State Government adopted a hygiene concept for the reopening of trade fairs, conferences and exhibitions, prepared with significant participation from NürnbergMesse and other Bavarian exhibition companies. That is because better than any other branch of the economy, trade fairs can do an exemplary job of implementing standards for social distancing, hygiene and safety.
