NuernbergMesse makes you mobile
  • Mobile web pages for Smartphones and Tablet PCs
  • Information at a touch
With its mobile web pages, NuernbergMesse has reacted to the increased demand for the internet using Smartphones and further mobile devices. Adapted to the technical particularities, information all about your visit to the trade fair can be accessed on the go: When entering the internet address or a number of event websites using a mobile device the user is forwarded to mobile pages. "The NuernbergMesse allows the exhibitor and visitor to prepare their visit to the trade fair in a much more comfortable way", according to NuernbergMesse Managing Directors Dr. Roland Fleck and Peter Ottmann. 20 trade fair websites should be available "to go" by the end of the year - 17 are already up and running.
1.82 to 1.78 billion - by mid 2013 the number of mobile devices with which you can access the internet will be higher that the number of stationary PCs according to Gartner, the worldwide leading analyst in the IT world. Whether at home, on the train, at the airport, in a taxi, at a meeting - people need and want access to the internet from almost anywhere. The modern business person is mobile, their office being in their top pocket. Those who are already up to speed can handle everything, but not long download times. Information when on the go is also worth its value in gold in the trade fair business. "Exhibitors and visitors should be able to access important information at any time during their trip to Nuremberg", explained Petra Weinzierl, head of the New Media team at NuernbergMesse. 17 specialist trade fairs can presently be accessed from a mobile device as well as the corporate website. All further specialist trade fairs will be added to the list one by one - in addition to the classic website. The greatest number of visits to the pages are shortly before and during a trade fair. It is during this time that the virtual airwaves run hot, according to the web statistics of NuernbergMesse. "Smartphones and Tablet PCs have meanwhile become necessary pieces of equipment for our customers", commented Peter Ottmann when explaining the new service. "Our mobile pages now offer you a particular service: Finding information, without having to look for it for long!"
