Your training


The spectrum of our apprenticeships is as varied as the tasks of an exhibition organizer!

During your apprenticeship, you will get to know different areas of the company. This will give you a wide range of knowledge and you will see how the individual departments are interlinked.

Our apprenticeships

During your training, you will learn all about building and infrastructure systems. And what better place to train than an exhibition center with a total of 16 exhibition halls and 180,000 m² of gross exhibition space.

Whether lighting, sound or stage technology, you will gain a wide range of insights during your apprenticeship. This also includes the organizational planning of trade fairs and congresses from a technical point of view.

You will complete your training on a state-of-the-art information and communication technology network with wired and wireless networks. Here you will support your colleagues with the digital infrastructure and gain a comprehensive insight into IT hardware. You will be involved in the conception of future topics.

Your dual study program

What could be better than combining theory and practice right from the start and gaining a foothold in a company during your studies? Our dual study programs offer this advantage!

Get to know the many sides of trade fair work in various departments during the practical phases in the company. You will then apply the specialist knowledge you acquired during the study phases at the university.

After successfully completing the theoretical and practical phases, you will receive either a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Ravensburg or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Informatics from the Nuremberg Institute of Technology. 

"My dual study program was an extremely enriching experience. Thanks to the varied practical phases, I was able to get to know different departments and apply my theoretical knowledge directly. A particular highlight was my semester abroad in Mexico, which broadened my horizon and strengthened my intercultural skills. You will study Bachelor of Business Informatics (B.Sc.) at Nuremberg Institute of Technology in the normal semester rhythm. During the semester break, you will work with us at NürnbergMesse.

Student internship

Not sure what you want to do after you finish school? Would you like to gain an initial insight into the world of work and find out in which area you can best develop your skills?

Then we recommend a student internship with us!

NürnbergMesse offers one-week student internships in many different areas related to trade fairs and events. The internship can be completed from April either during the vacations or during the internship week planned by the school.

You can apply for student internships in the following year during the christmas vacations.

FAQS Pupils

Our apprenticeships are usually advertised from August for the following year.

You are welcome to submit your application as long as the apprenticeships are online on our homepage.

Yes, you are welcome to apply for more than one career path!

However, we recommend that you think carefully in advance about which training path is better for you personally.

The selection process for both apprenticeships is the same and you do not have to go through the selection process twice. We will decide afterwards which is more suitable for you.

Step 1 - Confirmation of receipt
As soon as you have successfully applied online, you will receive a confirmation of receipt from us by e-mail.


Step 2 - MS Teams call
If your profile sounds interesting to us, we will invite you to get to know us via MS Teams. You will receive an invitation either by phone or email.
The interview will last approx. 20 minutes. You will get to know either our Head of Training Katharina Modjesch or an HR colleague.


Step 3 - Feedback
After the MS Teams call, you will of course receive feedback from us as to whether we can imagine a match with you. You will usually receive feedback by e-mail or telephone.


Step 4 - Selection process/ assessment center
If the feedback from both sides is positive, we want to get to know you personally, because - trade fair business is people's business. It is important to us that we also match with each other in the real world.  
To this end, we invite you and other applicants to visit us at the exhibition center. In addition to various tasks, you can expect a tour of the trade fair and lunch together in our canteen.

Step 5 - Feedback & decision
After the selection process or selection day, you will receive feedback from us again. You will be scheduled for the feedback meeting on the selection day. 
In the feedback meeting you will receive detailed feedback on your performance. And, of course, we will inform you of our decision.

You are free to use all available resources for your application. This also includes tools such as ChatGPT & Co.


But please note: Your personality, your motivation and your real self are more important to us than the perfect application.

The standard period for our apprenticeships is 3 years.  

Is your apprenticeship going well with us? Then you have the option of shortening your apprenticeship from 3 to 2.5 years.

The number of apprenticeships advertised is based on our forecast future demand for personnel in the company.


We do not have a fixed hiring rate, but if you successfully complete your training and perform accordingly, there is a good chance that we will take you on and you can continue your steep learning curve.


After your apprenticeship, individual entry opportunities await you as a young professional. You can also continue your education after your apprenticeship (e.g. business administrator, extra-occupational studies).
