** Working hours
The working hours you can find in the respective job advertisement. This usually varies between 10 and 20 hours.
In principle, you are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours/week during your lecture period alongside your studies; up to 40 hours/week are permitted during the semester break. The latter is possible in consultation with your executive manager.
You are also allowed to work remotely on a daily basis.
** Working days
We fix your working days for continued pay, e.g. in the case of illness, vacation or public holidays. Your working hours are distributed evenly over these days (but flexitime also applies to you).
This gives you structure for your everyday university life and everyone involved can plan better. The days can of course be adjusted each semester.
In practice, it is also possible to switch your working days if, for example, you have already taken all your vacation days.
** Limitation
The duration of the assignment as a working student depends on the department or the requirements.
This can vary between 6 months or until exmatriculation. If there is no information on the time limit for the position, you can assume that employment is possible until your exmatriculation.
