All NürnbergMesse staff are based directly on the exhibition grounds in Nuremberg-Langwasser. The offices are located in various buildings – all within walking distance of the ‘Messe’ underground station (U1) and the exhibition halls, and therefore close to the heart of the exhibition action.

New staff centre ‘NXT74’

NürnbergMesse was entered in the commercial register in 1974. The ‘NXT74’ bears the year of foundation in its name and embodies our vision for the future. Situated directly at the ‘Eingang Mitte’, the NXT74 is located at one of the two central entrances to the exhibition centre. As the heart of the staff campus, the NXT74 is the place where staff from all areas and departments come together to exchange ideas within sight of the bustling exhibition activity.

The NXT74 offers a modern and flexible working environment with a wide variety of different workspaces and meeting rooms. These can be booked as required – just as dynamic and varied as day-to-day working life at NürnbergMesse.

Coffee and tea kitchens, as well as lounge and communication areas on every floor, encourage spontaneous interaction in a pleasant atmosphere. A bicycle storage room and showers make it possible to cycle to work.

Sustainable Construction and Operation

Particular emphasis was placed on sustainability during the construction and operation of the NXT74. The building meets the strict criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and combines resource-efficient construction methods with an energy-efficient and forward-looking operational concept. In addition to a barrier-free design, great importance was also attached to ensuring intuitive wayfinding within the building.

A key component of the sustainability concept is the energy supply: a photovoltaic system is installed on the roof of the building, generating climate-friendly electricity. Heating and cooling are provided entirely without the use of fossil fuels by heat pumps. This significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.

Recycled concrete, recycled raw materials and certified timber were used in the construction of the building. The acoustic elements in the ceilings are made from 100% recycled PET bottles and create pleasant room acoustics and a high quality of stay.

This commitment to sustainability is also evident in day-to-day operations. For example, staff can obtain sparkling water free of charge in the kitchens, which reduces the transport of drinking water and conserves resources. Overall, the building combines environmental responsibility with functionality, comfort and a sustainable construction approach.

Flexible working time arrangements

Working at NürnbergMesse is about trust rather than control. A flexitime scheme, the option to work from home and the opportunity to work abroad within the EU for limited periods create a modern and flexible working environment for all staff.
