Many people pay attention to sustainability when making their daily purchases. But what does it look like on a large corporate scale? At NürnbergMesse, procurement is sustainable - from pens to electricity.

It is the first trade fair in the Nuremberg trade fair calendar in even-numbered years and the place where an entire industry gets ready for the future. EUROGUSS, the largest and most important trade fair for die casting, brings people on board who want to drive forward the sustainable transformation of an important, energy-intensive sector of the economy.

NürnbergMesse India 2023 kicked off its second decade of existence with a flagship project. The new "Sustainable Supply Chains India" (SSCI) conference in New Delhi is focussing on the supply chains of the future - they should become more sustainable and at the same time promote environmentally and socially responsible business practices.

With eight successful exhibitions in the hotel, catering, food and tourism sectors, Forum S.A., a subsidiary of the NürnbergMesse Group since 2019, is the exhibition market leader in Greece. It is also at the forefront with its sustainability strategy - the green transformation is taking place on several levels.

Since 1 December, solar power has been flowing from Bavaria's most powerful photovoltaic system on the hall roofs of NürnbergMesse. In the final expansion stage, the peak output will be around 20 megawatt peak (MWp), which corresponds to the electricity consumption of a small town with 20,000 inhabitants. For the time being, this is also a high point for the city of Nuremberg, which has long since become the solar leader among major German cities.

With its "Energy Offensive", NürnbergMesse began saving energy and conserving resources many years ago. In this interview, Eckehard Wohlgenannt, Environment and Energy Manager at NürnbergMesse, explains how it can effectively save energy.

In January, Lehrieder showed how tasty and varied plant-based nutrition can be. For the first time, the trade fair caterer took part in the globally widespread "Veganuary" campaign.
