Leadership transition at trendfairs: Christopher Boss (r.) takes over management of the trade fair organiser from founder Michael Rambach.

New inspiration for special exhibition organizer trendfairs: From 1 January 2026, Christopher Boss, 40, will succeed founder Michael Rambach at the helm of the company. After heading trendfairs for more than 15 years, Rambach is stepping aside to focus on new personal projects and will transfer his shares in the company to NürnbergMesse as shareholder. “For many years, Christopher Boss has been a dedicated member of the NürnbergMesse management, and combines experience with a strategic outlook,” comments Dr Maximilian Maier, VP Strategy & Portfolio at NürnbergMesse. “We are pleased that he and his team will take trendfairs successfully forward, and that he will make full use of the wide range of synergies available within the NürnbergMesse Group.” Boss is also looking forward to the new challenges: “Like NürnbergMesse, trendfairs embodies a strong team spirit, close customer relationships and entrepreneurial drive. My thanks go to Michael Rambach and NürnbergMesse for the confidence they have shown in me, and I will build on trendfairs’ success with renewed energy.”

Christopher Boss comes with extensive experience in the exhibition sector and within the NürnbergMesse Group itself: Following ten years at Messe Karlsruhe, he has spent an equal period in leading roles at NürnbergMesse, most recently as Executive Director of the leading international trade fair EUROGUSS and as Managing Director of MedtecLIVE GmbH.

Until he takes on his new role, Boss will continue to head EUROGUSS, Europe’s largest trade fair for all aspects of die casting and die casting processes. Together with his team he will lay the groundwork to ensure the event, scheduled for 13-15 January 2026, runs smoothly and successfully. Both EUROGUSS and MedtecLIVE will provide information about the arrangements for Boss’s successor(s) in due course.

Marcel Mönkemöller will succeed Boss as a member of the Supervisory Board of NürnbergMesse GmbH.
