In the future lab of the organic sector

A place of ideas, perspectives, attitudes and solutions

This is precisely the concept of the Future Lab: everyone in the community is given a voice, everyone can join in the discussion and contribute. "What unites us is that we are all convinced that a sustainable future can become a reality," says Barbara Böck, Head of Marketing at BIOFACH. "We want the ecological (food) transition to succeed! And BIOFACH wants to be the place where all ideas, perspectives, attitudes and solutions can be discussed together and organic can be brought forward."

The new interaction space addresses essential topics, different partners contribute their expertise and new ideas for a better organic future and the further shaping of the ecological, sustainable transformation of the international food system emerge from the debate.

New dynamics through SustainableFutureLab

Innovation and knowledge come together at BIOFACH, because the global industry meeting place in Nuremberg brings together all the key players from the entire value chain. Over the four days this year, more than 35,000 visitors from 140 countries gathered information from around 2,300 exhibitors from 94 countries. The feedback was consistently positive and almost 80 percent of the space has already been booked for 2026. "It was impressive to see how solution-oriented and innovative the community is in the face of multiple crises and to feel the strength of the organic sector," summarizes Dominik Dietz, Director BIOFACH.

The congress, with its 171 individual sessions and a targeted selection of topics with a view to the ecological transformation, once again demonstrated the high level of expertise at the exhibition center. The SustainableFutureLab now brings a new dynamic to the discussion: even more dialog, even more interaction, with a focus on the industry's burning issues and the active search for solutions for the transition to more organic.
