Muscle Power Meets Compassion: The Enforce Tac Fitness Test 2026

Three stations, more than 10,000 repetitions, and even more moving moments: At the 2026 Enforce Tac Fitness Test – consisting of bench presses, deadlifts, and pull-ups – athletic determination and human compassion came together. With each participant, the donation amount for the Nuremberg Hospice Team increased by two euros.

A group of 21 people – 19 men and two women – is standing in front of a green wall bearing the inscription “Enforce Tac Fitness Area.” The group is mostly wearing athletic or tactical-style clothing in black, olive green, or dark gray, including performance shirts, tactical pants, and zip-up jackets. Two people are holding a large donation check, while others stand to the side.

It is that one moment before the hands grip the bar. A breath. A focused gaze. That special silence before the tension. That moment when body and mind attune to one another. In the fitness area of Enforce Tac – Germany’s leading trade fair for security and defense – much was palpable this year: concentration, determination, enthusiasm, and a surprisingly strong sense of togetherness. For the three-part fitness test not only put the muscles of many visitors to work, but also the subtle, often overlooked power of compassion.

A fitness program that brings people together

For three days, trade visitors from the police, government agencies, and the armed forces took on this challenge. Many of them work in fields where physical and mental strength are essential and where responsibility is a daily reality. But this time, the goal wasn’t to prove their readiness for duty, but to make a difference together. The Enforce Tac Fitness Challenge, which has been a fixture of the supporting program since 2024, once again highlighted this year what physical exertion is all about: repetition, discipline, and mental strength – qualities that have an impact far beyond the sporting moment.

For every completed challenge, Enforce Tac donated two euros to the Nuremberg Hospice Team. In the end, 2,200 euros were raised – an amount that shows how much can be achieved when many small gestures of compassion come together.

The Fitness Area was organized jointly by Riginal CrossFit Nuremberg, Greenlight Fitness, and the USK Freundeskreis Mittelfranken e.V. While the two fitness partners contributed their athletic expertise, the USK Freundeskreis also provided a special social dimension: The nonprofit association supports police officers in need – an approach that fit seamlessly with the spirit of the initiative.

Two men are standing in front of a green wall featuring graphic symbols and the words “FITNESS AREA,” next to a third man who is lying on a weight bench and performing bench presses with a loaded barbell. The person lying down is wearing gray tactical pants, black shoes, and a black top. A person standing on the right is wearing gray tactical pants and a black short-sleeved shirt; another person on the left is wearing dark clothing with a long-sleeved top. Behind the weight bench hangs a black camouflage-patterned flag with a green logo.
Through its commitment, the USK Freundeskreis demonstrates how a passion for sports can be combined with responsible support.

For Dino Gheri, vice president of the USK Freundeskreis, the Fitness Area was far more than just a fitness program: “Performance, resilience, and team spirit are the cornerstones of our work. The Fitness Challenge at Enforce Tac brings these very values into an open setting and makes them tangible for everyone.”

At the same time, the trade show offered the young association something that is particularly important to it: connection. “Physical exertion together brings people together—regardless of uniform, agency, or jurisdiction. The Fitness Area created space for exchange, networking, and mutual respect.”

For the USK Freundeskreis, the initiative therefore fit perfectly with its mission, because commitment is demonstrated not only in the line of duty but also in supporting others.

Two worlds, one shared responsibility

The event also held special significance for the Nuremberg Hospice Team. What at first glance seems like an unusual pairing – a security-focused trade fair and hospice work – turned out to be a touching encounter between two fields that have more in common than one might think. “The fact that Enforce Tac supports our work sends an important message to society,” says Ingrid Kästlen, Public Relations Officer at the Nuremberg Hospice Team. “It shows that compassion, care, and solidarity have a place everywhere – even where strength, dedication, and responsibility take center stage.”

The donation enables very concrete support: training for volunteers, time for conversations, small outings, or fulfilling individual wishes for the seriously ill and dying. “Donations like these provide time, attention, and support in exceptional situations. The impact is often subtle but profound – in moments of peace, dignity, and human connection.”

For the Hospice Team, this partnership is not only financial aid but also a source of support, visibility, and appreciation.

Three men and two women are standing in a fitness area in front of a wall featuring the large-scale text fragment “CHALLENGE.” The woman in the center is holding a large donation check, while two other people stand to her left and two to her right. Their clothing consists of athletic and tactical outfits in colors such as black, beige, olive green, and dark gray. They are wearing T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, tactical pants, and athletic shoes. The people are standing around a weight bench with a barbell and weight plates.
By supporting the Hospice Team Nuremberg, the initiative helps provide time, dignity, and human connection to people facing serious illness.

More Than Just a Challenge: A Place for Togetherness

Anyone standing in the fitness area could quickly sense that something special was happening here. People cheered each other on, laughed, huffed and puffed, pushed themselves to the limit, and worked together to support others who are facing a very different, much tougher battle. For many participants, this very idea was the deciding factor, reports Dino Gheri: “Some pushed themselves because they knew: every participation helps. Athletic ambition was important, but the connection to a good cause motivated many even more.”

The limited-edition “USK x Enforce Tac Patch,” which successful participants received, also took on special significance as a result: “The patch is meant to be more than just an award. It’s a visible sign of being part of a community that thinks beyond the moment,” says Gheri.

A shared symbol of responsibility

The Fitness Test impressively demonstrated how trade show formats can become places of genuine community – especially when people from different fields come together and share responsibility. For Enforce Tac – and for us at NürnbergMesse – these three days made it clear how a trade fair can be more than just a place for exchange: a space where experiences, challenges, and responsibility intertwine.

Amid weight plates, intense stares, and moments of applause, a space emerged where strength was redefined: as the ability to stand up for one another. And sometimes, that strength begins with a single pull-up.
