Technology that enables care
The idea behind aura arose from a reality that has shaped care for years: more people in need of care, fewer skilled workers, and a daily routine that is almost impossible for many to cope with. “Yet technologies that can help have long been available: sensor technology and AI,” explains Fabian Höger, CEO of Perspective Care. “What is standard in industry and smart homes is lacking in care.”
This is exactly where aura comes in – not by generating more data, but by making situations easier to understand. The system recognizes restless movement patterns, reports abnormalities more reliably, and thus creates more orientation and security in everyday care.
The development was also driven by personal impressions, says Höger: “We were motivated above all by our own experiences – as relatives, as visitors, or directly at work in the healthcare sector. The more people we got to know in the care sector, the clearer it became: we want to change something here.”
Inclusion through innovation
What makes aura special is its impact on everyday life: less stress, less bureaucracy, more time for interaction. “Our goal is clear: we want to relieve the burden on caregivers and at the same time create more security – for everyone involved,” says Höger.
Feedback from the facilities shows how great the need is. “The feedback has been consistently positive,” says Höger. “We are also continuously developing the system together with our pilot customers.”
The prize money of €5,000 will therefore go directly into practical applications – into digital workstations such as routers or tablets that make everyday life noticeably easier. “In this way, we are creating support that goes beyond our system,” explains Höger.
For Kristina Notz, aura is also an example of real social progress: “Solutions like this are drivers of social change. They create new forms of collaboration, bring different actors together, and inspire others to take responsibility.”
