In advance of the restart of the trade fair industry on 1 September, Lehrieder, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NürnbergMesse, is reorganising its senior management team: Thomas Domani, the long-time CEO of Lilly Messegastronomie Nürnberg and most recently CEO of Messegaststätten Hannover GmbH, will join the senior management team of the event and trade fair caterer Lehrieder effective 1 August. Together with Dr Nadine Cauers-Lehrieder, he will be one of two equal-ranking CEOs of the Nuremberg-based service company. Bahne Beckmann will devote all his attention again to his tasks as Department Manager of the department “Management Guest Exhibitions & Conventions” also effective 1 August. NürnbergMesse CEO Dr Roland Fleck is pleased with the new addition: “Thomas Domani is a highly experienced trade fair executive and catering professional, who will strengthen our team considerably in advance of the planned restart in the autumn”. His CEO colleague Peter Ottmann added: “Our express thanks go to our esteemed colleague Bahne Beckmann, as well as to Dr Nadine Cauers-Lehrieder. Both manoeuvred Lehrieder confidently through an extremely difficult time.”
For his part, Domani is thrilled to be returning to the Nuremberg metropolitan area: “I am looking forward to my new professional challenge in my former home and would like to bring my experience to bear to link the successful events of NürnbergMesse more closely with Lehrieder’s first-class trade fair catering services.”
Domani is returning to his home region of Bavaria. The Munich native was trained as a cook before earning a college degree in hotel management. He was Sales Director of Lufthansa Partyservice in Nuremberg from 1988 to 1991 and then CEO of Lilly Messegastronomie Nürnberg from 1994 to 2010. He was CEO of Messegaststätten Hannover GmbH at the Hanover location of Deutsche Messe AG since 2011.
By purchasing the remaining 50% interests in Lehrieder Catering-Party-Service GmbH & Co. KG and Lehrieder Verwaltungs GmbH on 1 January 2021, NürnbergMesse acquired both companies completely with the goal of bolstering its service offering in the area of event and trade fair catering.
Lehrieder has been in business for 50 years. What began as a party service and beverage wholesaler in 1971 went on to become a success story as one of the leading catering specialists in the Nuremberg metropolitan area. In partnership with NürnbergMesse, it has developed into an exclusive event and trade fair caterer since 2016. With around 100 employees, Lehrieder will continue to pursue this strategy as a subsidiary of NürnbergMesse.
