What the trade fair restart felt like

FACHPACK initiated the restart of the fairs. Around 800 exhibitors and 24,000 trade visitors took part in the first presence event in the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre since the Corona pandemic. Exhibitors tell us in short videos what it feels like to experience live trade fairs again.

Europe's largest packaging exhibition was particularly hotly anticipated this year. FACHPACK was the first event to be held in the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, bringing an end to the almost 19-month forced break at Corona.

Andreas Koch, Sales Director of Bluhm Systeme, could hardly wait for the restart of the exhibition. A certain amount of nervousness in the run-up to the exhibition had already evaporated on the first day. The joy of meeting again in person and of the many encounters with business partners prevailed. According to Andreas Koch, only a trade fair can provide the opportunity to look, touch and try things out together.

Nadine Vicentini, Managing Director of bayern design, also describes a "longing" for trade fairs. For her, meeting people live on site and exchanging ideas is what makes a trade fair so special. At bayern design's joint stand, various exhibitors presented innovative ideas. New ideas were constantly being created through cooperation and collaboration. For Nadine Vicentini, these inspiring moments were what made the trade fair such a special experience.

Amelie Graf also presented herself at the bayern design stand. The designer from Berlin presented the "Meal Bag", she developed. A packaging for food that dissolves itself during cooking and is therefore edible. Completely sustainable. The exhibitor felt very well informed with regard to the comprehensive hygiene concept and was surprised on site at how easy it was to gain access to the trade fair. Trade fair with mask was no obstacle for Amelie Graf - on the contrary: with mask the eye contact even increased.

Sebastian Weichelt, Managing Director of Prodinger Verpackungen, also felt well informed. According to the exhibitor, the information on the hygiene concept and exhibition stand construction on the NürnbergMesse and FACHPACK websites is "simple and easy to understand". Due to the wide layout, the hygiene concept definitely has positive effects on the exhibition stand, he said. "It feels like a normal trade fair," says Sebastian Weichelt.

FACHPACK was followed by other trade fairs such as it-sa, Europe's largest trade fair for IT security, FeuerTrutz and Kommunale. In total, exhibitors and visitors can look forward to more than 30 events from the portfolio of the NürnbergMesse Group worldwide until the end of 2021, 15 of them in Nuremberg.

Live it's even better!
